Acapulco Style Crab Ceviche


Serves 4

Ingredients:

 
12 oz Aquamar Flake Style Crab Flavored Seafood
3/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
3/4 cup peeled, thinly sliced cucumber
5 teaspoons finely chopped cilantro

Ingredients for Sauce:

 
1/4 cup lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce, optional
1/2 teaspoon finely grated garlic
3/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Preparation:

 
In a large mixing bowl, combine Aquamar Flake Style Crab Flavored Seafood, onions, cucumbers and cilantro. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together all of the sauce ingredients and pour over the imitation crab and vegetable mixture. Toss to mix. Evenly divide into 4 stemmed serving glasses and garnish with fresh cilantro sprigs.


 

Maryland Style Crab Cakes


Serves 4

Ingredients:

 
12 oz Aquamar Shred Style Crab Flavored Seafood
1 tablespoon finely chopped pimento
1 teaspoon mustard
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
1 teaspoon Old Bay® Seasoning
Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

Preparation:

 
Mix all ingredients and form into patties. Broil patties on a cookie sheet until crispy.


 

Hot Curry Crab Dip


Serves 8-10 as an appetizer

Ingredients:

 
12 oz Aquamar Shred Style Crab Flavored Seafood
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon plus, 1 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 cup white onion, diced small
1/2 cup green onion, sliced thin
1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced small
1 teaspoon Tabasco
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation:

 
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, Tabasco, Worcestershire, curry powder, and cayenne pepper. Stir in onion, green onions, red bell pepper and Aquamar Shred Style Crab Flavored Seafood. Turn the mixture into a 2 quart casserole dish and top with the cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes and serve with bread or crackers.


 

Mexican Seafood Cocktail


Serves 6

Ingredients:

 
12 oz Aquamar Chunk Style Crab Flavored Seafood
16 oz shrimp, cooked, peeled and deveined
1 red onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
2 tomatoes, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 firm avocado, peeled, pitted, diced
2 cups tomato juice
1 cup clam juice
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

 
In a large bowl, mix the Aquamar Chunk Style Crab Flavored Seafood and shrimp together. Stir in the onions, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic. Add the clam, tomato, and lime juice. Carefully stir in the avocado. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Spoon into serving bowls or tall glasses and serve with crackers or corn tortilla chips.


 

Fiesta Crab Dip


Serves 4

Ingredients:

 
12 oz Aquamar Flake Style Crab Flavored Seafood
1 jar of your favorite salsa
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, if desired
6 oz small cooked bay shrimp may also be added

Preparation:

 
Combine Aquamar Flake Style Crab Flavored Seafood, salsa, cilantro and shrimp, if desired. Serve with tortilla chips or pita bread wedges.
